TEFLON - Love On A Real Train
Organizing my studio space so I have easy access to all my instruments and can loop everything. Recorded this semi-impromptu performance of Tangerine Dream's "Love On A Real Train".
All parts played by hand on various keyboards running into the Mobius software looper.

Just loved this - thanks so much!
(Original TD track was from the 1980s movie "Risky Business".)
How did you grab the loops? ...By using a pedal effect or via the DAW? You made it look easy, please tell!

Glenn,
I'm not familiar with the original at all.
Is that the Big Sky you're running the opening keyboards (or all of the keyboards) through? I'm digging your reverb and delays on this.
I'd have to say that watching you play multiple keyboards is one of the more awesomer things I've seen you do in a very long list of awesomeness, Glenn!
And a good work space is an achievement in its own right. The studio is the fifth Beatle, and another instrument in its own right, and the place we make the magic, and easy access to all the magic makers, is crucial.
You're making me remember and long for the days when I had several physical keyboards.

Mobius software looper. It can run standalone or as an AU addin. I used the Echoplex looper for years and the Mobius looper is very similar. I control the loops using a MIDI foot controller.

All software. The delays are Apple and the reverbs are from Valhalla. I just love their reverbs. Incredibly lush.
The original tune was composed by Tangerine Dream as part of the soundtrack for the movie "Risky Business". The tune plays in a poignant scene where an extremely young Tom Cruise makes it with a hooker played by Rebecca De Mornay on a subway train. Look it up. It's a beautiful tune.
