this is my cover of a simplified version of Red. The tabs I used are scrolling in the background. I am still a beginner! I shot this video very quickly and I am aware that the lowest melody string is kinda outta tune and there are some mistakes and rhythmic insufficiencies. But I'd like to hear from you what you think overall.

Re: My cover of Red (King Crimson)
Pardon me for embedding, I'm not familiar with the work of King Crimson, but your trippy hands floating over a Stick was psychedelic and cool. And informative, with the score in the back and the fingers shown clearly. Very educational. And 6:20! What an awesome piece of work! Congrats!
I think you are being too hard on yourself. This is a fierce entry into the Stick video archive. Since the harmonics of the song are so interesting, it would have been easy for me to get lost in that had you not posted the scrolling tab. As Mr. Sink said, the effect of hands over tab is pretty trippy. So yes, I agree that the notes are not so complex, although the rhythms change up quite a bit. Did you program the drums, or how did they come to be?
Your hands look a bit uncomfortable in some spots based on stretching. For your own benefit and longevity of playing, please consider which fingerings serve you best. Some people espouse 1 finger per fret with exceptions. I would ask only that you do what is comfortable for you. If what you are doing is it, so be it. It just doesn't look that comfy.
Keep on tapping.

Definitely an an excellent and effective means of learning a piece - I can't wait to try this!
Thanks a lot for all your responses! I intend to upload more tap covers (once a month or so) and getting better!

Thank you! I feel I really need to clarify that the very ending is from the original song (fading in from 5:46). Should I make this more clear? I don't want to plagiarize! But if you like that ending, I highly encourage you to get to know King Crimson, the album Red is a fantastic place to start

Yes, I listened to the song and tried to write the drums in MIDI (however I am not a drummer so these are probably really bad). Then I used EZ Drummer as a VST. I will take more care about the fingerings, especially using the pinky on the left hand more. Thanks for the suggestions!

Nico!
Top effort, fecken huge really.!
What Josh said, you're too hard on yourself or perhaps just super honest. I recognised that , while your chops are developing, I can hear a certain tone already in your hands, especially the right hand. You have a lyrical and melodic quality which will only develop further. You also kept pretty good time with that backing drums.
