I'd recommend buying The Stick Book and/or Stickology. Both are available at Stick.com, and are good references to have around. Even if the book's tuning isn't a direct match for your instrument and you find you have to shift a couple of frets, you'll find that at the very least the chord shapes (fingerings) are the same, and they can be used anywhere on the board- start on any string, any fret for each half of the instrument.
Bob put up a number of quick simple lesson videos a number of years back that many of us found to be useful while getting off the ground on the instrument. The fret numbers might be different for your instrument from the tuning he's using, so you might need to shift a couple of frets, but the shapes still apply.
