Chairs/stools/seats for playing
I've been thinking about this more especially after I acquired an expanding hands lap bar.
I have an office chair, some kitchen chairs and a couch. Currently, the office chair is the best place in the house to sit on because the couch and kitchen chairs are too low beside the kitchen chairs being fairly uncomfortable for long sits.
Anyone have chairs that they especially love playing stick in? I should practice standing up as well but I still would like a nice seat for long sessions.
extra points for the holy grail of being portable

Re: Chairs/stools/seats for playing
Hi, I actually only use piano/keyboard bench. Have a couple of those lying around the house. It facilitates good posture and I can practice for hours without back problems. Plus most of them are foldable and light... Cheers Rod Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk

Re: Chairs/stools/seats for playing
Somewhere in this forum I believe there is a really old thread on this. Myself and a few others use a drum throne. Also use an office/ computer chair with no arms on it. Lately I’m also more comfortable playing standing up using my bamboo Stick, which I believe is the lightest Stick Emmett makes.

I’ve been using a drum throne too. I noticed that I wasn’t leaning back in my office chair anyway so I thought I’d try the throne that we already had. They are pretty portable too. I have one that is shaped more like a saddle than just a round one.

All good replies. You really have to "shop" around, esp. if you have back problems like me. Plus, I switch around. My gf comes in my room and says, "16 Chairs!" (not really 16... 3.)

For me this isn’t much of an issue with Stick, but that might solve a few issues with guitars. Was considering buying a typically wooden guitar stool, but that looks better.

No brand and it was quite cheap (and sadly not available anymore) About $60 Here’s something similar but not as cheap https://m.thomann.de/intl/mey_chair_sys ... 1612721342
