Gigue - Georg Philipp Telemann
Many consider Baroque music one of the best styles for learning one's instrument, as it often cleanly moves through scales, arpeggios and essential chordal movements in well organized and bite-sized chunks. This short dance piece is no exception, and it falls squarely in the wheelhouse of the intermediate Stickist. Taken at the speed I played it in the video, it might be a high level 5. However, speed isn't the sole determining factor in playing music and so I've ranked this a level 4 because at slower tempos it is a great early intermediate demonstration of arpeggios and common bass motion. As always, tabs and a performance breakdown are available at

Re: Gigue - Georg Philipp Telemann
That's nice for alternating which hand is doing the "hard part". Good choice!

Re: Gigue - Georg Philipp Telemann
Thanks! I agree, a good study for both hands, plus those unison arpeggios are great to add to the arsenal.
