But as a piano player who is used to having a damper/sustain pedal, I think this looks really useful. Electro-Harmonix Freeze Sound Retainer Demo
Electro Harmonix Freeze Pedal Review
Some many awesome EHX pedals! I can't wait to get into the Ditto Stereo and start rocking some looping out! It's the way I compose on Pro Tools (well, often, anyway) by building up layers and repeating motifs and riffs. I like that it will export back to my PC as well, if I record some awesomeness that can't be repeated. And you can load it with practice tracks to jam over. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination.

It is, but if you are interested, consider the Superego instead. It's much more versatile, and you can shape the sustained sounds via the effects loop.
Zcat has some combo hold pedals (chorus and hold, reverb and hold.) If you take the effect off the hold, they sound more like a piano sustain pedal. I think they sound (at least in the videos) more natural than the Electro Harmonix pedals. Anyone have any hands on experience with those Zcat pedals?
I would like a hold pedal that works as closely to a piano pedal as possible. Holding as natural a sound as if I never took my hands off the strings.
