What is YOUR favourite Steve Adelson Album?
And why is it that it's your favourite? Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine...

Re: What is YOUR favourite Steve Adelson Album?
Well, I gotta say that for me, hands down, my favourite tune of his is "Bock to Bock" as played on "Stick Night '99" (I know, it's not an SA album, but it's a really good representation of all the Stickers I thought... I'll post my favourite SA album later after I think about it a wee bit...)
It's raw, it's real, and it has all the stuff I like about music so it's an inspiring one to listen to. I'd be curious to know which of Steve's albums is his favourite, and why... (I know, it would be like choosing a favourite child...they're all your babies...)
...To be continued... lol

Sonic Imagination. Goes any number of places, and along with Steve's playing and creativity, it also presents outstanding support from a number of other talented musicians.
I should acknowledge that my appreciation of this CD may possibly have been influenced by the fact that I like bagels.

Re: What is YOUR favourite Steve Adelson Album?
I like Sonic Imagination, but "Adventures in Stickology" resonates with me a bit more. A lot of unique things going on there that are fun to listen to. So yeah, Stickology is probably my favourite. Any of the solos he takes are pretty much a journey unto themselves and the works as a whole feel uncluttered despite being dense arrangement-wise.
I might start tearing this apart (Transcribing/learning) after I'm finished my current project...

And, I look forward to a stripped down, truly solo effort to add to the collection. Maybe if we asked him nicely...
