Hi everyone, I lowered my price for my Megatar (I was asking 2,000$). I don't use it even though it's a nice instrument. I'm asking 1,600 US$. Delivery not included.

Open to an exchange...that could be an alto stick or a railboard.

Toneweaver is class . I had a Storm years ago. Couldn’t get strings for it after Tractor folded. I saw a Toneweaver with built in midi. Nice instrument.

I have an extra set of strings coming with it. I know it's possible to buy some too...just don't remember where exactly but I know you can ask for the size you wan't and it's cheaper.

N.B. I found the place where to buy strings. newtonestrings.com
Using a digital caliper you can measure the size of each string and then choose the length of each one to fil on your instrument. Hoping it helps.

By the way...this cello model is sold at a double price if you want to buy a new one.

Mine is a CR model and here is the price from the company: https://thinkns.com/product/shop-ns-dir ... ric-cello/

More than the double as you can see.

Just bought that Megatar Toneweaver that was on sale here a couple of months ago. It's a great instrument and a great 2nd alternative to the Stick if you want to think more conventional "bass + guitar" for a particular song.

I have one of those NS Steinberger upright basses and am a big fan of the great sounds one can get out of it. I should play it more... :D

Quite some time ago, I was working on the idea of making my own Stick. I ordered some strings from Tractor and he didn't send them to me. I contacted him and as an apology for the mix up, he sent me three sets of strings for the price of one.

There are six melody strings .009 .011 .013 .016 .029W .040W There are six bass strings .025W .035W .050W .065W .085W .100W Two of the packages were never opened. The Third package was tried on my vintage Stick but I never liked the sound of them, so I stuck them back in the package.

When my four sets of NewTone strings arrived, I really liked them, so that is what I use on the vintage Stick. I later got a set of SE strings and they work great on my Railboard, as I didn't like them on the vintage Stick.

I bought a large piece of PurpleHeart wood for my old Stick project.

The triangular shaped frets arrived from Belarus because they were patented in North America and nobody could buy them without buying the guitars from the patent holder.

I also bought specialized locking tuners similar to the PRS design lockers. I had a hard time finding those, because PRS holds the patent of their locking tuners and want a small fortune for them aftermarket. Lockers are great. You slip the string thru the tuner hole and tighten down the locker, then a half a turn of the tuner and you are fully tuned. Pretty slick.

I also bought several sets of high end pickups. Lots of cool stuff in my junk box that may some day be used on my own creation.

I'm open to a trade for a SG12 or an alto stick.
