Re: 3d-printed belt hook?
Yannick may refer to a recent midsaventure. My belt hook broke (again - I think I broke 5 in 20 years), just before a gig. I repaired it just in time for the gig but it definitely died this week. Useless to say that I was uber-stressed during the gig...
This week, I ordered two belt hooks from SE, and Jeff was very nice to send me them very quickly. But with the postage and duty fees, I had to spent 100 euros, which is a huge amount of money for a plastic piece I know it would break soon or later
Maybe the belt hook is breaking because, when playing, I use to bend over my pedalboard quite often, making some stress onto this piece of plastic.
I seriously consider
- to 3D print some belt hooks for my personal use, or even paying an ironworker to make one for me (I know Emmett used this material for the first 70's Sticks), because I'm so upset about this piece to broke so often
- or to disassemble the various parts, covering them with epoxy coating (the same surfers use to make surf boards), then sanding and reassembling them.
