Patch of Shades
Hello all, Hope all is well in Stickworld. I recently acquired a Patch of Shades pedal, and I have a few questions for the universe.
the High Q switch seems to work, I do not see a difference in the dbl wah switch or the wah off switch. Are there any patch of shades users that can tell me what they do? I repaired the pressure pad and the wah works great. Unfortunately, the brochure I have is a different version than mine, I do not have aux jack, it is there, but it is painted over and called return on the dir loop, and I have 4 jacks on the right side, one that says volume which works as a volume pedal out no issues there.
I am guessing I have an earlier or later version of the unit, the one i have has the printed circuit board on the pressure pad, I think he got away from that later on. I haven't started testing the circuits yet, but was hoping to get some guidance or information. ie should the wah off disable the pedal and double wah doesn't seem to make a difference, is it my ears? Should I start testing the IC's? Everything else seems to work good and the unit does not seem to be modified. At this point it's a nice wah with a high Q setting which is subtle, I will test the loop circuits with other effects soon ..
If anyone has any knowledge and they would like to share it, it would be awesome. Thanks.

If anyone has any knowledge and they would like to share it, it would be awesome. Thanks. I cleaned up and played the one Steve Osburn owns, I recall having to hook up two other effects pedals to see what everything did. Try hooking some other pedals and see if that gets those switches working.

Re: Patch of Shades
thanks. I have been through that link. I was able to try both loops, wah and direct and they both work fine. the wah off and double wah do not seem to work although the lights come on. I guess i will be tracing out the circuits. thanks again .

You're welcome. https://sb.smugmug.com/Music/Videos/i-H5ttfCQ is a link to a gallery on my site where I took a pic of Oz's Patch Of Shades and did two videos of me playing it a good many years ago.
