Post TIP for HX Stomp/Effects users
Something I've found very satisfying is to place the "Kinky Boost" distortion module as the first in the chain. I leave the 'gain' setting as is, go not turn on the 'boost' setting, and turn on the 'high' setting.

This gives a close approximation to a preamp.

I'm using a Stickup, so YMMV.

Hey Randy,

I’m curious, why not just use a preamp block instead?

That being said, I’m really enjoying my Stomp!

Hi James -

I traded the Stomp for an Effects as I wanted a looper with more features. The Effects doesn't have preamp modules.
