Its crazy when gear from the 70's or 80's eclipses later stuff. I mean what is going on? For example they had analog guitar synths with better tracking than nowadays. And for the slow gear effect its true as well. It seems to me that the companies don't focus on the basics, like playability and just general tone. Sometimes the new boss stuff sounds so harsh and digital, as if they forgot all the previous products they made. Oh yeah, on my line 6 echopark the "swell" setting is by far the best and most tweakable slow gear type sound. It doesn't have that initial attack sound like on some recent emulations. Its actually quite great and there is delay added too.

Word! And for example the PitchShifter of the SE70 sounds IMHO much better than in the VG-99 Efx-Section (not the Hex-Pickup-Section which is a special thing) - unbelievable because the SE70 is 15 years old  But i'm not frustrated, so i will safe a lot of money 8-)

Don't try it, but perhaps you could find what you're looking for in this little box... http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/

Blasphemy Warning!!

Anyone checked out the Behringer SM200?
Copy of the old BOSS SlowGear.
Shhhhh :?

For that matter, the CC300.
Copy of the Dimension-C.

Kind of a drag when the Big B undercuts their competitors on copies (IMO) of gear, BUTT, when they come out with copies of stuff that the orig mfg no longer makes, like the two mentioned above)........... :?:

Thanks for the advice - perhaps i will give it a try, course it is really cheap (€29,- !). But actually i learn to live with the SlowGear of the POD X3 Live and it is better than i have thought before.
