What I would like to try is a sort of floor spike. My neighbor has been a woodworker for longer than I have been alive and he has agreed to turn a prototype floor spike for me. Whether it works or is a disaster, I will post pics. I have to get the wood and get it to him and from there it should be a week or so and it will be ready.
