Got a bunch of Xmas gift cards for a Canadian music store so put a down payment on the Aeros looper. The head rush seemed to be too much for me. I don’t need effects and drum machine. I might end up getting a beat buddy to go with the looper. I like that it can do so many tracks up to 36 6 parallel and 6 sequential tracks totaling 36. Plenty. There are some songs that I’m not able to play because there are too many layer. I’m working on Supertramp Goodbye Stranger and it needs some looping to pull off all the layers. I’m not able to play all the parts at once. Not with out a ton of extra work. I’ll post a video of the looper when I get it. Could be a while though but I’m in no rush.

I think it's the Aeros for sure. I am going to sell my Pigtronix first though. ERMAGHERD - it's $600....?! May have to wait a bit.

My Aeros looper came in a few days ago. I love it. It’s so nice to be able to hit record anytime before the next bars downbeat and the loop starts right on the downbeat and same with the end of the loop. Hit stop record before the last bar and it stops on the bar line. Now I just have to play with better timing. Love the 36 potential loops too. Very powerful. It doesn’t have the effects the head rush has but I don’t need the effects. Looking forward to getting a beat buddy to go with this awesome pedal. They sync up together so I’ll be able to do my Supertrsmp song finally after 4 years.

Are you able to loop each side of Stick independently?

I’ll have to see if that’s possibility. You can only record one track at a time. So either you loop a bass part or melody part or both on one track. I have a pedal I made to split the signal path so I’d an send one side or both to a pedal so I suppose I could use this to send one side to go the looper while the other side carrys on somewhere else.

paigan0 can you give us an update on how the headrush looper pedal is doing since you’ve had more time getting to play with it’s features?

I have been super busy with a million other things and then I got a Harpejji. Which would work great with the Headrush looper, if I took the time. And then when I'm rocking out, I'm using a DAW, and not the looper. So I have aspirations of playing more with the Headrush, but I just got sidetracked.

What I've done a lot with it is loop vocals. Lay down a beat box, add in more and more percussions, dump that down to 1 or two tracks, then sing a bass line, and then a treble line over the bass and the percussion, and then have one percussion track looping, one bass vocal track looping, and the some harmonies that you can stack up and bounce in real time to one track. Then sing over the whole thing.

I've done about 6 little vocal scratch pad projects with it. And then via USB, dumped it all into my main computer and sent it to Pro Tools.

But I've done very little instrument looping yet. Also, update your firmware first thing if you get one (I think I mentioned that already). They've fixed some bugs that plagued earlier versions. I've yet to see a bug.

It's a pretty neat piece of machine. I need to be more worthy of it, and honestly, I'm embarrassed now I haven't gotten all over it yet. So much to do, so many toys and so little time.

I'll get busy on it and get a video out as well here soon!
