Hey Gene, you know I have a drawer full of old looper's and even a Gibson Echoplex still in my rack along with an Electrix. Why so many? Well I am a little touched, I admit, but I was involved with with the Y2k Live Looping Festival early on and in fact the reason that I originally got a Stick was because I wanted to be able to loop bass and guitar (melody) with out having to change instruments. That changed my musical life and I really have lost interest in live looping but I want the Headrush for work-flow reasons . If it will work the way I want it to I will be able to get the musical ideas from mind to the board quickly and in high sonic quality. I think you get something like 9 hrs onboard recording time and then it can be exported to the DAW for more tweaking. I am doing the same thing with my Boss 505 but this thing so far seems to be the real mccoy. Really it is a multi-track recorder that is foot friendly but I have a feeling that it is going to be up on the desk a lot of the time. Like I said, you can't get these things yet. They want you chomping at the bit before they ship . Looking forward to it though; chomp, chomp...

I have not been able to find out yet if you can bounce tracks inside the Looperboard but of course you would be able to export/import tracks back in so that would probably be the most effective way to build more complex compositions.
Really looking forward to this. Money being saved .

Re: The New Looper Thread
I've been looking at loopers for a couple of years now and haven't pulled the trigger on any of them. Real tempted on this one. Let's see how the summer goes, and I'll keep looking at it.

Re: The New Looper Thread
Anyone tried the TC Helicon Voicelive (or Voicelive Extreme)? Does guitar FX & amp modeling; vocal FX & harmonizing; and of course LOOPING. It's expensive, but if it can really do all it's reported to do, it could take over a pedalboard... Someone tell me why I shouldn't get one.

What a concept .....
Below is the best video I have found explaining in a little more detail with tasteful guitar demonstrations:

I was *THIS* close to buying this last night from Sweetwater. I've finally got the whole Sweetwater card paid off and the card is just sitting there, mocking me with my need for no new equipment. But that's not true--I do need a looper pedal and I like the onboard effects and all the inputs and outputs. And the switches and tracks.
I might wait until next week when the wife's out of town (and the country) and then grab it from Sweetwater.

Re: The New Looper Thread
I decided to get it. Just completed the order from Sweetwater. Maybe a bit overkill for my first real looper, but it seems to have everything I'd want in a looper and a lot more. It'll arrive 2 July, just in time to play with it over the holiday and before the wife comes back to town and finds out I got a new toy.

Re: The New Looper Thread
I had the Headrush Looperboard for about 2 weeks. Returned it due to bugs and no indication of a timeframe for fixes. Many HeadRush Pedalboard owners complain about slow update/bug fixes cycles, so I decided to return it and keep an eye on it as it progresses.
It is promising for sure. I wanted to keep it.
I just read elsewhere that Singular Sound (Beat Buddy) is readying a looper pedal with 6 independent loops and a 4" touch screen. Glad to see some movement in new looper pedal designs.

I hope I haven't wandered into a boondoggle. Sweetwater is pretty good with returns, so let's hope I don't have to do that.
