Hi Stick friends, the latest FHF session a product review of the DSM Humboldt Simplifier DLX.

It's a great single pedal option with a wide set of features for external effect routing, cheers.

Does it have mono out for tuner pedal?

Great question and a little bit of a disappointment - there was no tuner output.

On my current production board, I have been running my Boss RC-5 and poly tune 3 through the FX loop on my Mackie Mix8 FX loop to get both looping and tuning on both sides. While I'm sure others may have already figured that out, it was a hallelujah moment for me.

I did have to add 2 channel mute to ensure both sides were muted before tuning, but that was an easy add-on with a Saturnworks 2 channel active mute mini. I'm pretty excited to share that board once I have vids for my last 2 gig reports.

It was like 2 years with no gigs, and then 2 in one month.

Boaz - I'm going to be using the Simplifier after my mx400, it works out pretty nicely. I send the left side to a Source Audio Collider - which returns stereo to the mixer directly (not to the Simplifier) on one side and the other side return directly to the Simplifier where I can make use of the cab sims. That second side returns to the mixer in mono.

Just saw that there is a Thru out jack
Isn’t this a sum mono?!

Hmm. Well now, I think you are right sir, let me go test that!

Okay, so as you expected, it does send it but it is not summed, so only the bass signal on the tip is sent to the tuner. I can work around this by just slipping the lead out a little to catch the ring of the cable.

I have another means of muting, so this, while a little unorthodox, totally works!

Perhaps I'll add this to the comments on the youtube vid - thanks Boaz.

In other words, a simple adapter will work
