Fretboard layout software
Hi,
I'm looking for software that will allow me to make drawings of the fretboard with notation of notename or numbers. I included an example of it. I have downloaded some guitarbased courses where this layout is used, but I need to 'translate' to the stick tuning. Does anybody know of (Mac) software that can do this ?
Cheers, Bas.

Hmm...looks fascinating. I'm not the tech-savviest guy in the world, though; I clicked on "Click here to Download the latest version" and I got the zip files, but what am I missing to get the program running? Is the secret in that "Active State" link a few paragraphs below for Windows users? Sorry to be such a tech loser.

Re: Fretboard layout software
Hi Greg, thanks for the info I downloaded it, also activectl and installed that, but there seems to be no way to start the application; it's only scripts and there's no activetcl app to be found, so it's bit of mystery to me..
Cheers, Bas.

Re: Fretboard layout software
I just tried. It looks promising, but doesn't work with the newer versions of Tcl that you can download for Windows (or Mac). The version of Tcl (8.4.12.x) mentioned on the website isn't available anymore from ActiveState. I could grab and build the source code from the Tcl community website, but that's more than I care to endure. Besides, I need to practice. Bummer.
