I've been listening to Andy's latest CD. What a great record. A collection of vinettes only two over four minutes. Gorgeous melodies, beautiful playing. One of the best sounding stick recordings I've heard, and I believe he used an old ironwood 10 string throughout.

This is the Salvanos cd I've been waiting for. "Dream recall" is now one of my favorite stick cd's (ever), a real work of art.

Great Job Andy!! Highly recommended.

Wholeheartedly agree with you Brett. I've given it several listen now, just love Andy's playing, his musical sensibility, and approach on the Stick. Destined to be one of my all time favorite Stick recordings!

Your mid to low bass register has a really nice "mwah" fretless quality about it that I really dig. Would you agree?

Hi Kev,

I've been experimenting with "fretless" effects for a few years. I rarely use it live, but I do like to work with a variety of sounds when I record.

With the Stick I try not to overuse the effect - the idea is to still hear the distinctive "timbre" of the instrument.
