I'm sort of surprised this hasn't been featured here before, but all I could find was a comment that mentioned that Mike played Stick on this album, not an actual video. So here it is... If you want to cut to the chase, we don't get to see him playing Stick till well into the video. In the video it looks to me like he's picking the strings like a guitar (and the sound is more guitar-y to my ears). This is for a futuristic CD-ROM thing (allegedly inspired by Myst) so possibly not actually played on stick, certainly the well-informed folks at tubular.net don't mention it: https://tubular.net/discography/TheSongsOfDistantEarth Still cool to watch though. |

I think its highly likely he actulally is making music with the Stick, he just wasn't going the whole way & taking up tapping? I think it's said elsewhere that he used Stick on the album? |

that's a cool concept, picking on a stick. I think a type of capo would work best when picking, for those open strings. I have to ask Bob about his capo use on the bass strings. |
