Post Electronics - anyone just bypass the vol control?
especially with all the talk about high impedence preamping, etc

anyone do the old guitarist trick (the old "blower" switch mod* ) of bypassing volume entirely on their passive pickups?

seems like a lot of guys are running full up and taking care of vol on the board anyway

* think the Duncan version of the wiring bypassed tone too

I personally dislike the "roll-off" of the volume control, especially on the Stick, and I have all the pickups. I come from the bass guitar as far as electric instruments and it was full-out on the bass and volume pedal (or amp) to control the volume. That's just me I don't like the loss of presence on any of the Stick pickups.

Same on volume control, although I do from time to time use tone or volume control on my ACTV-2 in live situations when playing solo as it's much easier than reaching down to the board or back to the amp.

Tom G. had a Stickup custom made without any control.
