Not quite so, my friend. Would you not say that grammar and punctuation and typos are different beasts? While one may occur by happenstance, the other typically occurs when somebody tries to show an above average intellect by dipping their toes where they don't belong. I can tell you have not studied at a higher level. It's perfectly fine to separate independent clauses by semicolon or period and follow it up with "and", "or", etc, or the casual "however", "in contrast", or even the good old "in fact". Stop boring me with your middleschool stupidity.
