I'd like to see a Stickup pickup option for the Railboard. I wonder how hard it would be to make my own?

corn-fused I thought the R-block only came in the one pickup option (villex) hmm, guess you can't call it an option if there's just one

The stickup might be too tall and wide to fit. I suspect the emg is narrow enough to fit in the existing villex cavity. Pure speculation on my part however

Greg, is the EMG RB-10 available as an upgrade to the R-Block? If so, would you be able to give us an idea of an approximate cost?

I'll check. The currently available ones are all going into production instruments. The price for a Railboard with this pickup is $200 less than the original Villex R-Block. While it has fewer features, I'd say it sounds "as good", but a little different. My next demo for this will probably be a side-by-side comparison...
Replacing the pickups is fairly easy, but you do have to loosen the string to do it, which must be done carefully so as not to damage the strings. Because we're talking about machined parts, the fit is very snug and precise.
I'll find out what the stand-alone price will be and get back to you..
