Nooooooo...... I mean Yeeeesssss...!!
That is my first Fav Stick vid, back in 2007 it must have just passed right by me that that was 7+5 tuning.
Oh well now for another case of GAS.
I always did find the concept of the tuning appealing, even after some folk have said about that tuning, that they've "been through that phase" so to speak.
Just finished watching Younnen again, he is a master par excelle`nce. Wo. Anyone else with 7+5 vids.?
Lots o Love

GianCarlo. Wow he's a very fluent player isn't he.
I'm lovin' the extended lower melody range and being reminded of these great players.

I have seen other videos of this cat's playing and he is really superb... Sensitive, musical, great technique, great knowledge of the fretboard.... Always a joy hearing him play.

Re: No Videos of 7+5 Grand Stick....!
Giancarlo and I were roommates out at the National Guitar Summer Workshop with Frank back in '91. The Matchsticks were pretty spot on with the Band of Gypsies vibe, few do it better. Man he's solid...
I had a Mahogany 7+5 with a full baritone tuning which meant the 7th string on the melody side was a low G# - pretty thick. I used this for the Might Not Know it Now sessions, but was never able to adjust to the width of the 12-string, and wasn't really able to appreciate the 12-string until I had a 6+6 setup. SO many melodic possibilities with this setup.
I am pretty certain Ozzy Skateboard uses a 7+5 full Baritone setup.

Pitty.
It seems like 7+5 has been taken off the tuning list...? Not surprising though, it's quite a drastic tuning though I still find the idea appealing.
For me I've been exploiting the higher bass range on the 10 string, which has become a fav approach for me.
Whichever way you look at it, if you're with a Stick, there's no shortage of notes...!

How are these tuned? (as already noted, it's not on the SE site)
