Post Flint Blade plays Bob Marley
Hey all,
Here's another clip from my most recent concert - this one featuring a rendition of "Soul Shakedown Party" by Bob Marley & the Wailers.

At this point in the show, most of the audience was lounging in the grass...

Enjoy some dubby, psychedelic reggae vibes!

PS my stereo cable started cutting out about halfway through the song but I managed to pull through! phew!

Guys like you, Don and Oli are really evolving the form of the singing Stickist Flint. I truly enjoyed every second of this performance - really solid. Seeing you make adjustments in real time around the faulty cord prove just how professional you are. Bravo.

I enjoyed watching chicks with hula hoops and crazy looking silver hats walking by the front of the stage - makes for great leisure viewing. My favorite parts were your two hands exploits on the bass side starting around ~4:30. It felt like you were really warmed up and ready to explore by that part of the set. Also loved at 7:45 when you kick the loop back in for the chorus.

I don't know what it is about you Flint, but I get this huge grin on my face when I hear you play. Whatever you are doing, please keep going and with full force - you are mighty.

A complete instrumental performance w/vocals, a one man show plus a single slapback for the drive. Over and above that accomplishment, there's a stage presence here and an attitude about the song. Flint somehow reminds me of another live performer, Paolo Nutini and a song I'll never forget about his "New Shoes". And Gene, I think the "smile" factor is what they have in common.

Sooo sexy sounding, what a groove! Love it Flint, can't wait to catch one of these shows live, and also lounge in the grass. Flawless groove, beat comes in and out effortlessly, bass line appears beautifuly...

Congrats!!

I love Marley, and I love what you're doing with it, Flint! Especially your singing. Nice recovery on the cord--would't have noticed it if you hadn't said. And like Gene said, that 2-hand exploring part at 4:30 on was killer!
