Post The Walking Dead Theme song
I thought I'd give this one another whirl; it still needs some TLC in regards to tempo, but I thought I'd share it anyways! It's not too difficult to play, and in this practice video I only practiced each 'position' twice. It's the shifting that is the killer, it really is.

The bigger question, though is what if NOBODY gets killed in the season premier this year? Wouldn't THAT be a twist? hahaha Anyways, enjoy. I'll get it faster this week.

I think it's hilarious that when you showed me this the first time, Scott, I didn't recognize it as a cover and was telling you where you could add something (I actually hummed it into my iPhone and then emailed it to you!) This is one of those shows that is right up my alley, in terms of the cool sci-fi/fantasy stuff that I like, and of course, this was and is a comic!

Which you should pop over to the Temple of Sphere Inks and talk about The Walking Dead (and Preacher!) And more superhero stuff. and fractals.

Sorry, didn't mean to pimp the other thread at all. But this is an awesome cover, now that I know it's a cover! HA!

And I hear they filmed versions with EVERY single major character getting killed, just to mess with people and throw off the real deader. Someone's killed, it sounds like (even if I know nothing about the series or the show!)

I still want a heavy CRUNCH CRUNCH on this song, even though it is a cover. But you're rocking it out! Good job!

Post Re: The Walking Dead Theme song
Thanks for checking it out! I'm still working on the tempo; it's gotta be played a lot faster!
Those position shifts are tricky, though so it makes for a really good exercise in dealing with that. I was happy that I could get it to a point where there were no misfires. (Me and the metronome...building a relationship...) The reality is that the more "different" types of music I try, the more experience I can leverage. So yeah, I am all over the place with theme songs, rock jams, improvs, jazz standards, classical stuff. Doing my best...

There might not be too many "Walking Dead" fans here on Stickist, though. I was really hoping that "Fear The Walking Dead" would have it's own theme song too, but alas...
