Great job. Looks like he memorized the piece as well.

Re: CPE Bach on the Railboard
I’m more amazed when people can just read the music. I’m not sure. I could play it with out having to memorize it. Any Bach piece I have ever played had to be fully memorized the problem for me is I soon forget what I did. Really wish I could just read and play like playing piano. I envy anyone who can do that

Re: CPE Bach on the Railboard
I agree with all here, great work and it takes me months generally to learn this type of structured piece.
The Bach family had a way with Bass! Love the voicings and the tone Carlos gets - good job man.
Bravo, Carlos! That's fun to see. Thanks for sharing, Greg!
Bach can be tricky--I've known more than one pianist who encountered a mental slip and it really derailled them to the point they had to restart the piece.
Greg, can I ask, has he used any cello method books in developing the left hand or is he working through specifically stick methods?

We are pursuing a "Stick-centric" approach, based on three-fingered melody and mostly 3-fingered bass, which is perfect for this kind of music. I don't know about cello books. Carlos's background is in guitar.
CPE Bach's preferred instrument for performance was the clavichord, a low-volume, but very expressive and percussive, harpsichord-like keyboard that, unlike the harpsichord, had a dynamic range.
Of all keyboards, it is the most like the Chapman Stick.
