Hi all,

I know several of these dates have been posted here already, but there's been a few new additions to the schedule so I thought I'd just send the whole thing again. This tour will find myself and guitarist Bert Lams (of the California Guitar Trio) returning to several areas we actually haven't been to in a few years I think (scary!) For those that may have caught a show back then this should be quite different to you as we've been working hard on a number of new original pieces that haven't "visited" those areas before. This trip will actually be a bit of a warm up run for us too before we get back to San Diego and try to wrap up a new studio album together. I'm also quite happy that we have several Stick connections on this trip with Jim, Darin and Neil (thanks guys!) Should be a blast! Hope to see some of the rest of you along the way too!

Got a great offer to house-sit in Santa Cruz for three weeks. Can it get any better? Yep, by being able to attend your house concert on Nov 23rd! Looking forward to this greatly, anyone else on the list planning on attending?

Tom's a great performer and he and Bert have great chemistry. I hope any of you who are in the area of one of these shows will check them out.

Anyone within 2810 miles or 42 hours, 40 minutes driving distance ( I put in NY to San Diego) owes it to themselves to come to these shows!

All seriousness, you will see amazing feats of dexterity (like the Mozart piece) as well as hear some of the most organic genuine playing that is pure listening pleasure. Plus if you get to hear Jim Meyer, wow bonus round! As Woody Allen would say, do it for someone you love, yourself! .... be there!

Tom and Bert kicked off the tour here in Vancouver last Saturday. I opened with a 20 minute set, then sat down to be humbled by these two great musicians. Last time they were here, the performance was a combination of solos and duets. This time, nearly all duets with really intricate and entertaining arrangements. (One of the few exceptions was Bert playing a little Bach - just incredible to see and hear).

The set included many of my favourite Griesgraber tunes - El Prado (which we learned from Tom means "The Prado"), Waking the Day, and others. But for me, the real standout was Victor's Chase - great sounds, great performance. From Bert's side, the Train to Lamy Suite was a real highlight of the evening.

The performance ended with Chopin's Revolutionary Etude, which was a surprise to everyone there. Bert played all those cascading left hand arpeggios on guitar, leaving Tom to sort out everything else on Stick.That was a performance that will "stick" in my mind for a long time!

If you are on the west coast and get the chance, go see these guys!

From what I hear on YT (not the best way to enjoy music), Bert Lams has a great sound and musical technique. Thumbs up!

Had the great privilege to hear Tom and Bert play last night in the Santa Cruz area. What a treat! A great blend of material and interplay that only two world class musicians can pull off. I was really impressed with the dynamics and spaciousness they incorporated into their music. I love the intimate setting of house concerts, had a wonderful time.
