https://youtu.be/PVGgqRvaUFs?si=jE0S1r9nkpei8plB A track from my new album. A trio tune with Charles on Tenor, Brian on drums and me on Chapman Stick… two other tunes were quartet tunes with John on Trumpet/flugelhorn |

Nice! If you have a live performance, it would be a good addition to the Jazz Chapman Stick Facebook group. |

A Real Jazz Combo! Great! I recognized the name from AZUL also. I love Greg's ensemble music! |

The last few minutes of Stella with the Stick/sax interplay is especially wonderful. |

Thanks Tony Yes Stella was one take, when we hit the “harmony” part in the solo duet it was a magical experience! I listened to it back and said , “that’s it” that’s a take |

Brett, this is a phenomenal recording and performance. Congratulations on capturing what is one of the more spectacular trio recordings with the instrument to date. Hero card, punched. The sax + bombastic drummer was Emmett's ideal load out. He wanted a maniacal mathematician of a soprano saxist and a rabid unchained animal behind the kit. You sir have delivered something both he, and Greg, would have loved to see, hear and feel. I know how dear Greg was to you and I feel that in the recording. Man, it is good throughout. True story, I do recall Greg gushing over your approach to the bass side of Chapman Stick jazz. Said only a bassist could lay it like that and I would have to agree. Good show Brett. |
