Tales from Lost seas - update
Not posted much lately , in fact have not not been out playing much in last month or so. But back in top gear , I've actually been more focussed on all the other stuff , networking ,music business, contacts , venues etc etc etc. To that end i have a new 6 month plan to pull it all together, apart from endless focussed practice to tighten up lots of OK but slightly " loose " pieces. Applying some of the "short time period super focussed practice regimen" that Rodrigo & I have discussed in the past
Going really well , my whole music life now lives in a cloud based project management sheet called Airtable, been very helpful, everything I do is mapped in it & tracked. Example below, tabs across top are like spreadsheets for each topic. When I think of something I can bang it straight in there on iPhone, MacBook or wherever.
Also learning about digital Media streaming ( finally) and have a first track live on Apple Music & many other platforms as of today , the only one so far I'm willing to set free at that level & also the first original idea I produced on Stick. I like the fact it was all done on my portable rig on the ship & sounds OK. My usual nuances etc.. What I've learned is that playing this Stick is one big project , getting the rest of it all pulled together is bigger again if you're going to "take it somewhere". So far so good. Every day I can achieve something , even if it's just connections and other contacts. I'm taking a 3 month extended break from work in the Aussie Summer, ( i.e some of it off pay) so the Stick will have to fill the gap , a little. Nothing like monetary incentive........
