So many great moments in Rome and in Switzerland with Greg. This is devastating. There are no words.

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
I'm still new at this portal and i still don't have any touchstyle instrument yet, but i wanted to express how much Greg is important to me. A great reference in my research/studies and by the many comments through this place, a great person as well.
Wishing the best and many positives thoughts for him at this moment!

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
I’m very depressed and saddened that Greg is in hospice . Every time I pick up my stick the first person I always think about is Greg. I love his style of teaching and his attention to detail. He is a very thoughtful educator and his Stick playing is what I always aspire to. I use his Bach book daily and use his three finger technique often as it resonates with me. I’m hoping his YouTube videos will always stay up forever as they are all so inspiring. Greg will always live on in my memory when I pick up my Stick. Thank you Greg for all you have given us.

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
It took me time to write my comment on Greg's situation. I never talk to him, only messages here on the forum. But, everytime it happens I felt a very sensitive approach the way he was responding to my concerns. It's a rare quality. He was just himself the way he was giving me his opinion and being open minded about each way a new player was approching the stick. Wish you the best Greg...

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
Greg's been on my mind constantly ever since I heard the news. I spoke with him a bit on Saturday and tried to express how much he's meant to me and many other people. We had a lot of great memories during my 11 years in Virginia (Charlottesville was a peaceful 1.5 hour drive through the countryside from Fredericksburg). Stick seminars, concerts, lessons, and some family events too. A very generous person with strong character, not afraid to be honest- without his guidance and encouragement for me to work on things and play out, I wouldn't have made the musical progress that I did. He's created an amazing body of music and instruction which I trust will always continue to inspire and guide other tapping musicians.

I am deeply saddened, he was always encouraging and inspirational and kind to me. A gift to the stick community. My prayers are with him and his loved ones.

Oh, wow, I'm just seeing this post now. You have always been, and continue to be, the favored knight at Emmett's Round Table, Greg. One of the most talented and respected Stick players in our community, there is nobody who has worked harder at spreading the word and the Free Hands method; your willingness to share the wealth of knowledge and techniques you possess has been second to none. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
I'm regretfully behind the times myself. I just found out. Greg has been my occasional teacher and constant inspiration. His patience with me during my times of re-focus on Stick has been monumental. I'm just crushed.

Re: Greg Howard is in hospice
I was just made aware of Greg’s illness and saw of his passing on a Facebook post not an hour ago. This is really a huge loss to his family and our Stick family. Not much more I can add to the heartfelt posts I have read on this thread. Such a shock, and gone way too soon. RIP Greg, you will be sorely missed by all.
