I use the Deep Matched Reciprocal.
I tune the same EADGC from the first marker.
I use the KORG CA-30 tuner. It does a good job.

So, this idea of passing on your Stick after death has me thinking... What's going to happen on the day when Emmett and company cease operations? It's not a pleasant thought, but what happens to the Stick community and who will take the reins of providing the world with fine instruments. It seems li...

My #404 Ironwood Stick arrived and it's in reasonably good condition for its age. No truss rod on this one. I've sent three separate emails to Stick Enterprises for strings and not one response. So, in the meantime, my strings are coming from http://www.newtonestrings.com/ in England. I wanted to re...

I first heard the Chapman Stick while walking thru a park in Maui a few years ago.
http://michaelkollwitz.com/ was playing and I loved the sound. I had to get one.

What interface are you using? The GR-55 MIDI/USB settings have an option for DIRECT MONITOR = OFF. This is how you patch the interface to Reaper via USB. Then, configure Reaper. The VSTs are almost limitless. Pretty much any instrument that you can think of. Lately, I'm into Cinematic sounds for the...

Just curious, how many Stickists are using synths and VSTs? I've been experimenting with the GR-55 and GK-3 pickups. Most of the gear that I use can be played with keyboard or strings. I've invested in: - Native Instruments Komplete Ultimate software - Reaper as my DAW - Trilian Total Bass module - ...
