Before you make any decisions, go through a dummy check and start at your electrical outlet to make sure there isn't a grounding issue there. I don't know that I'd give up on it. If your son is reading StaffTab, have him take a look at this. Maybe it's doable given enough practice; I seem to have made my way through it a bit ... clumsily, but I think it can be done.

Man, that WAS really good. You're playing cajon on this stuff, right? I like the Jungle grooves you put down on it; a lot of drummers can't do that stuff on their kits. And Kieran was really solid through all that rhythmic displacement.
