Thanks for posting Arascane! The only way I am aware of to have the 2 channel effects loop is using an external mixer, which defeats the purpose of compact and simple. The Pirahna drivers were impressive, I think it was a nice considering my setup and current line up. I have tried bass, guitar and S...

What is the one amp to rule them all? Tried out the Phil Jones suitcase bass amp - unreal! It has two inputs with separate eq for each AND you can flip a switch to accommodate active or passive pickups. http://www.philjonespuresound.com/products/?id=9 Granted, it does not have a separate effects sen...

It's sold as of today! So be it, like I can afford a new Stick (rats...). I too love the natural grain of a wood instrument, I have 2 Paduak Sticks and am quite fond of them. I thought perhaps having one of a different flavor might be nice. I am still looking for a respectable trade on my 12 string ...

Hey Tom - thanks for posting this. So glad to hear that you've got the enrollment you need to make these sorts of events happen. PSYCHED for the class and really looking forward to hearing you and Bob rip it up. Out of curiosity, would I, by chance, be the contemporary that you spoke of in your arti...

Hi all, Just a quick reminder that we will be down at Unurban in Santa Monica from 8 -10 tonight playing music. A collection of styles, Tenor Sax, kit and Stick! Favoring the 10 string Baritone these days, looking to do mostly Latin, straight ahead and some new original tunes with our new drummer Mi...

I would tend to agree with tnaughton with regards to using a keyboard amp as this will give you a better representation on the low end. I would steer clear of the Acoustic Guitar amp as I expect you will bottom out the low end, regardless of what pickup you are using. Here is a link to my review of ...

Hey ggoldsmith. I did check out this amp yesterday. It has a great array for eq, a number of different effects options (19 in all, mostly reverb, some chorus, a flanger and combinations of reverb and chorus) and two separate channels (amen). The AG120s also has separation of effects levels for each ...

Hey Zack, glad to hear about the new Stick. I wholeheartedly agree with maxr, your journey will be truly a personal experience. It's a versatile instrument that can be used in place of many other instruments, but it's best when played like a Stick. I too am based out of southern California and would...
