I tried holding the Stick in that position, to alleviate l.h. problems. Then I can't reach upper positions (where I play alot) Just doesn't work for me. And w/ the back problems, vertical is the only way. Love the groove of Latino!

Has anyone ordered Newtone strings before? Any recommendation between round and hex cores? Any recommendation between nickel plated and stainless steel? Since Stick strings are made by D'Addario and they are nickel and nickel and round cores personally I would go with what The Master intended for h...

One day I said something in one of Greg's posts here, about me being a very broke Stick player on disability and not being able to afford his new DVD Stick tutorial. A few days later I receive a parcel with his DVD, and a note saying, "Don't tell anyone, just use this." Sorry Greg I just t...

Me? A bassist. In order, played Fender Jazz, upright, and then fretless P bass. (playing in tune was harder on P bass than upright). Saw the little Stick ad in Guitar Player. Read an interview with Emmett Chapman. At some point got one of those floppy records of Emmetts playing. Big Weather Report f...

Walter, ixlramp posts on these pages about gauges. I believe he is a "Teflon" player, possibly builder of his own instrument(s), and is knowledgable about single, and dual range tapping instruments. I do DBR 12-string but need a new set so I don't know what the gauges are (Med.) w/out taki...

Very cool! (the music) The electric 12-string! Had a Firebird (!) 12-string in my posession for a few mos. in 1980. I tuned the unison strings different (because that's what I do - this was before the 8-string bass, and the Stick). 3:26! Outside! I would probably beat the hell out of it. My poor Squ...

I ordered a 12-string Grand in '08 with a MIDI pu for the Melody side. It has the Grid emblem. I took the MIDI pu off and sold it because I never use it. The Grid emblem remains. Note: it doesn't effect the Stick.
