Post 10 string or 12 string?
I'm a pro guitarist, and have been intrigued by the Stick for awhile, since Steve Adelson demonstrated one to me at a guitar show.
I'm going to get a Chapman Stick, so, should I get a 10 string or a 12 string?
Thanks!
Bob

Bob E, why not call that guy Steve Adelson and get the pros and cons from his perspective. Are you a Long Island guy?

I'm not a Long Island guy, but I'm in Westchester County, NY, not too far. Good advice, I will, thanks.

Hey Bobby I lived in Westchester for many years and would regularly visit Steve for a while for lessons. Having someone of that caliber in essential your back yard is amazing for an instrument like the Stick.

Since you're a guitarist go 12 unless your fingers are fat. Go see that guy Steve he's got a Stick with a snake!

Better to have 12 and use ten than have ten and wish you had 12. I love my 10 string railboard but ordered a 12 String SG . Would have ordered a 12 string Railboard but that would have meant waiting 3 years. ( I heard rumours two years ago about a 12 string but didnt want to wait.)
I have no regrets about my 10 string. I think Emmett loves his 10 and so does Gene Perry and Josh.

Talk to Steve Adelson. He can guide you

Rob

I've also seen Steve (Lee Vatip) in front of me in Montreal and I bought my 12 strings stick 2 years later. In last Ocotober I bought 10 strings railboard to experiment mainly the spacing between the strings. The tone is different but the spacing between strings is a major point.

12 strings is not a bad choice to start...10 strings is the orginal idea of Emmett Chapman at the beginning. Am I wrong?
