Free Hands Friday #64 "The gigging Stickist"
Join us for an open session on playing out with the Chapman Stick. Flint had requested this session and I am taking him up on it. Free Hands Friday #64 is all about The Gigging Stickist! We'll go over every aspect of playing out. Do you have a card? Can you turn it down? Do you know Piano Man? Is that a Sitar? All good questions, right? We'll shed some light on what others have learned in their time playing out, things to look out for, things to look forward to and open up the floor for some learning lessons (pronounced - what NOT to do). All good fun with your favorite Stick personalties. If you would like to be included in the discussion, just drop a line here and I will be sure to send an invite. Be sure you have added the Free Hands Academy to your circles. This will all go down this Friday, October 16th at 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm GMT+1. Hope to catch you then

Great idea! Cant attend unfortunately but I'll look forward to catching up with it later. As for questions, I've had the "is that a sitar" a few times, as I get round open nights now, and learnt last time not to spin around during a solo and slam the head of the stick in to the vocal mic I was just singing into! Have fun.

"Uuuuhhhhh, how do you tune that thing?"
"That's ridiculous. You don't need that many strings to play bass" (Pre-performance; stick on stand)
"That looks really hard!"
