Re: I'm the MOD DUO USA DEALER!!
If I could just do a short rundown of comparison and also say how I would use the MOD
maybe Dean could correct me if I am wrong:
First, for the Stick player there are two independent channels, yes?
The Axe FX has this potential but it is difficult. Also the Helix can do this
but again it is sort of a rig. Not as straight forward as the MOD...(?)
Add to that the Headrush, very easy to program but only one input chain.
Any of these units are great for the Melody side but are big and you need something else
for the bass, so more stuff...
Programability: if being able to see what you are doing by having the whole screen
of your computer as a "canvas" to work with your effects is important to you then the MOD beats these other processors by a mile. Helix and the Headrush likewise beat the AXE by the same margin because even the new Axe AX-8 does not have the updated screen.
The take away: Once programed the MOD can be taken away from the computer
and is the size of book
This is huge, I mean small
...
Another great advantage is that MOD was intended and therefor designed to be used
with multiple instruments. So it is not circuit optimized for the guitar but could be used
with acoustic instruments that are mic'ed or for vocals, yes?
Last but not least the MOD is about half the price or less given "street price", Dean's discount
and or which unit you are comparing.
I would use it with the Stick and an acoustic or archtop guitar but mostly in the Studio.
Any one interested in an AXE (ultra) for a good price?
Very good Dean you might be our hero
