We are in for a treat this week with on [b]Free Hands Friday #84[/b ]as David Tipton is going to be joining to share his arrangement of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide.
This is a great tune for the repertoire, maybe not an opener but certainly a recognizable and easy tune to play tune that adds a nice touch of 70's gold to any set.
David will be sharing some more next week as well, Mad World, Here comes the Sun, Big as the Sky? What's it going be for FHF #84? Suggestions and comments welcome.
Here is our first pass at Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. David's interpretation is more true to Buckingham's guitar arrangement on top of which, he's able to play the accompaniment an octave higher on the 12 string. Really a spot on interpretation.
David and I talked for a bit afterwards and are in discussion about the prospect of a full hour long session on Repertoire. He's quite busy, so I have a message into him to see what his availability it for October.
We'll do a second pass at the chorus of Landslide for next week. I've struggled with this part, so I'm looking forward to how he approaches it.
Word has it that Josh G is fixing something up for September 15, SongLearn September is in full effect!
