- As Gene pointed out, being able to use standard TRS cables is a big thing for me. Those stereo/dual mono cables are fragile and more prone to noise issues (my tech guy agrees, it's not just my imagination!).

This is exactly the reason why the SP2 input is via a TRS jack. Apart from the fact that TRS cables are more robust, they are cheaper to build and lighter.

- The stereo and mono outputs can be used concurrently, which adds to your routing options.
As a side note, the TRS output and the mix output (aka 1+2 output) have completely separate output circuits. In other words, the mix out is not a extra out that is created with a couple of extra resistors. It is a separate output in its own right.
The mix out was inspired by the fact that I saw Stick players with all sort of devices to play in a simple, single input amplifier. With Stick pickups (the ACTV2 is probably an exception) one cannot simply sum the treble and bass signals with a stereo-to-mono cable. The pickups load each other and the signal quality drops. The only way to do it without signal degradation is with an active circuit.
