I started to write some names but the list just goes on an on... and I always feel I'm not doing justice to someone. I'll say this instead:
The music I make and the music I will make, would not be the same without each and everyone of you. My understanding of the instrument and, therefore, whatever I will ever do with it would not be the same without Emmet, Steve A., Greg and Bob. You are all a part of me and what I do, whether you realize or not ;) cheers

Great Post Brett,

Kudos to Greg for writing "The Stick Book" probably the best laid out book that one could ask for to get up and running!

Also, Kudos to great lessons with Steve Adelson at the world seminar and in Scottsdale AZ.

Additional thanks to some group lessons at several seminars: Tom Griesgrabber, Ron Baggerman, Don Schiff, Andre Pelat, Jim Lampi and Bob Culbertson!

You folks all rock!

And gratitude back to all the students, players and guides.
Lessons are a shared experience. Both sides experience gratification from the relatiinship. Private, group or just archival, the teaching experience is very inspiring. Thanks to the Stick community and the many students who have intersected my career.
Shared knowledge is joyous. There's much passion in discovery and development
Good post

Steve Adelson

Great idea and great list, Brett. I've seen videos from almost everyone on your list, talked to most of them here at the forum, and had Skype sessions either alone or as a group with several. Great bunch of teachers and human beings, and kudos to all of them, individually and collectively.

And special thanks to a whole bunch of you Stickists who literally have shown me and taught me more by accident than when I was trying real hard to learn. Kevin C with his "You know, Steve, that's not a neck strap...." and a million riffs and ideas and techniques and tricks and opinions from almost everyone...

And especially to my fellow Students of the Stick, who, like when I was a grad school English teacher and also a student--and had to teach a class to Freshmen on something I just learned--tell me "Well, I just learned this last week, but let me show you something..." Students make the best teachers!

Thank you, Teachers!

Brett Bottomleys Stick Primer that i received at his North East Stick Seminar 2014 proved to be a valuable piece of teaching instruction for me. Thank You Brett for being a great teacher. Larry C.
