Super-Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Meta Lydian
If you wanna go deep - this guy is about as deep as it gets. If you haven't checked out his music, you should.

This is VERY interesting ! i assume it requires very very much time to internalize it.

Really fun video, thanks for sharing! (That guy has really great pitch, and a complete understanding of what's going on, doesn't he?)

Re: Super-Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Meta Lydian
This is how mind boggling this guy is. This is all him - engineered, overdubbed and video composited - all of which he also did. This is a few years ago BTW.
Here's what he can do live with keyboard activated harmony generation.

That's huge Captain.
So helpful on the continuing journey of wtf understanding and making the chaos become clear.
The other composer he mentioned and his book, looks like a must read.
Cheers

"These shoes were made for walkin'". So who was Nancy's innovative bass player in the recording session?

Re: Super-Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Meta Lydian
Thanks Captain Johnstone! Jacob Collier is a brand new discovery for me, a free flow of intelligence with perpetual joy. (Amadeus comes to mind.) I won't forget this young artist, performer and theoretician.
His lecture presentation is lightning fast, explosive, and I learned by leaps and bounds. Then I realize I've had corresponding musical discoveries, but those inverse chordal voicings inside the progressions - never thought of that!
Then come the video performances, the real goods, and I realize, he's just playing.
