Post MIDI controlled Mixer
I'm looking for a way to control a mixer via MIDI. Similar to this idea.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Niche-MIDI-Audio-control-module-ACM-/291995154938
http://www.pmerecords.com/Docs/NicheACMOwnersManual.pdf

If I can't find an economical solution, I'm going to have to build it.
This guy has the right idea. http://www.freshnelly.com/phonicmidimod.htm

Post Re: MIDI controlled Mixer
I'm going to have to build my own MIDI controlled mixer.

With the press of one pre-programmed button;
I want to be able to route each channel to bypass or process.
I want the option to parallel route all pedals for each channel.
I want to be able to control each pedal's parameters via MIDI.

Easy to do digitally in REAPER but I'm trying to do this with Analog Strymon pedals.

8 combinations (requiring 10 switches per channel)
- Bypass
- Modulation only
- Delay only
- Reverb only
- Modulation + Delay
- Modulation + Reverb
- Delay + Reverb
- Modulation + Delay + Reverb.

He's got the right idea, but I don't need the knobs and sliders.
The MIDI control will be making these adjustments internally.
I'm going to try to design my mixer with no moving parts.
OK, maybe one... the on/off switch.

I want to design each channel to be able to individually fade in/out
the modulation, delay and reverb pedals in parallel.
This could provide some unique effects. Photo attached.

Have you considered perhaps using an interface with a foot controller? Mainstage/ApogeeGio/Apogee Quartet type of setup? I know you're a Steinberg cubase guy, but maybe a USB based controller? Perhaps the Kieth Mcmillen stuff might be an option?

I dunno, I'm just throwing stuff out there... :D

I'm looking for something with more flexibility for analog systems.
My MIDI controlled mixer will be operated by touchscreen.

BTW - http://www.reaper.fm/ is my DAW of choice. 8-)

Right, forgot you use Reaper; Steinberg interface, though?

Are you using a specific mixer or trying to build something?

Have you considered using a loop switcher? Some are MIDI-controllable.

Hi Claire, I'm trying to build something to give more functionality.
I've looked at loop switchers, but they don't offer the flexibility that I'm after.
