SOLD- Paduk Grand w/ MIDI
I'm selling my Grand Stick SN 1912.
I purchased it used from Stick Enterprises in '06.
It is Paduk with the ACTV-2 Block and MIDI melody side.
Tuned Matched Recip.
I also have the Stick Book, Free Hands, and Stickology to go with it.
It just never gets played and I'm jonesing for another instrument.
I'm not sure where to set the price. I paid $2800 for it.

Well, I was hoping to sell the Grand here, but since I've had no replies, I guess it will have to go on Ebay.

Re: SOLD- Paduk Grand w/ MIDI
Just wanted to brag. I am the recipient of this fine instrument. after playing a 10 string, I am finding the added strings makes a world of difference! I had ordered a set of DBR strings for it thinking I was going to use that tuning, but after playing it for a few days in MR tuning, I discovered that I really like playing in the upper registers, a la Bob's "fingersticking" style. So I'm pretty sure at this point I will be leaving the tuning as is.
A few other notes:
Fret rails vs fret rods. - At first I didn't think I was going to like the rails. They felt sharp under the fingers, and a little strange. Again after a few days, I really started to warm up to them. are they better than rods? Hard to say. However I think overall I like them about the same.
ACTV vs PASV pickup. My old stick, had the villex Pups on it. Great sounding and very versatile. However not the exact sound I was looking for. I found that in the EMGs however! Very sharp, cutting sound, and I like the ability to roll back the highs just a tad if I want.
Sadly, I have to sell my old stick. I'm a hobbyist musician, and can't justify the expense of two sticks. the new instrument however fills all my music needs, so I'm not losing out. Even better, I found a local buyer already! Florida needs more Stickists!
