I am really tempted to make a wood pickup housing. Just for fun. Create some funky laminate design with multi-colored hardwoods. Hmmm...

I wonder how gong show it would be to transfer the Stickup innards to a hand-made wood housing?

If you can do this for the PASV-4, I'll buy one!

Ha! Well, if I ever attempt this, it'll have to be with Stickup first, since that is what I have (2 of them).

If I could get my hands on a PASV-4, or if SE would sell me a dummy one (plastic housing w/ no innards), then that could work.

Let's see if I have time to attempt this later this year...

baggetthouse, here's a couple of pictures of mine, the workmanship is quite beautiful.

MANY thanks for those photos Big George! I just realized...this is the first photo I've ever seen of a wood belt hook. Love it!

For a moment I thought you had laid your Stick in a snow bank for the photos. Sorry...massive snow day here in Saskatchewan. Been shovelling all morning.

It would be difficult as the pickup is “glued” onto the housing. You could perhaps cut away most of the housing and just leave a smaller plate that you could embed into the wood module. You could make an active 2 fairly easily as they are just stock emg pickups that you can buy from emg. What would be also interesting would be to see if you could get a hold of the railboard (passive) emgs and try those. I’m not sure if emg would sell those to you directly though
