Re: FOUND !! looking for midi pickup
One thing that sounds kind of pedantic to bring up (but bear with me, there's a reason)
the roland GK pickups are NOT MIDI pickups - what I mean is there is nothing internal that does any sort of MIDI conversion they are hex(aphonic) pickups.
they are tiny individual humbuckers that handle each string as its own signal (hence the multi-core /multi pin cable - each string has it's own distinct wire)
Why does this matter? well not everything you can do with them is MIDI synthesis - the VG series, for example, isn't based around MIDI synthesis, or sysnthesis at all, it's fancy signal processing that deals with each string individually.
Roland also made (makes?) twin pedals for the GK system that were hex effects pedals, even the GR-300 was barely a synth (it was a syncing oscillator sort of similar to how an octave divider works)
Antares made the ATG-1 which allowed for antares level tuning tricks on individual strings (lapsteel players like them) - the VG can do that, but I don't think to the Antares level
there's a company called spicetone that even makes an analog hex fuzz (it can pan etc too) ...one interesting note about that is it adds a bass boost to the dry signal to make up for the typical positioning of the GK
that being said , this guy positions his GK further "neckward"

just wanted to pont that out b/c it's nor always about midi conversion
