It looks like Kevin is now flying the DreamLiner. Congrats!

Thanks for the information and offers. Unfortunately, I will be very much confined to Toronto, specifically around Cabbagetown. I checked out the links posted and they have some really nice stuff (really liked that something that Kevin posted). Only one day away!

Unfortunately I have not found any accessible leads, and I am leaving on Tuesday. Wasn't able to find a set of cans I could be 100% satisfied with at Bay Bloor Radio either. I still hope to be able to get my first stick, it just won't happen on this trip.

Thought this could use a bump to say "I am indeed still looking".

Hi,

I just noticed you had mentioned being interested in the idea of a 10 String grand. I posted a rare Purpleheart 10 String Grand for sale here a few weeks ago (rare because SE stopped using Purpleheart shortly after they started making 10 string grands). I think a 10 String grand is an excellent place to start, with the extra room for your fingers. It's a beautiful instrument, nice warm tone, 34 in. scale, made in 2001 and has the adjustable bridge, flaps, fret rails and ACTV-2 pickups.

I was just getting ready to repost it with a price drop down to 3k. I might even throw in a hard case if you preferred that over the soft case. I would love to see this instrument go to someone who has been looking for their first stick. Let me know if you want more info or pictures.

It's tough finding your first Stick, especially in Canada.
Our Canadian dollar doesn't buy much these days.
Keep looking and it will eventually come to you.
Kind of like ice fishing... :-)

I found my first one for $1200 CAD out of Kingston.
I found my Railboard for $2500 CAD out of Calgary.

I used the following link both times.
https://www.kijiji.ca/b-canada/l0
It searches Canada wide.

I didn't find any Sticks on my recent search
but under Tapping Instruments this popped up.
