SOLD: Chapman Stick 10-string Polycarbonate
10-string Stick made from polycarbonate resin, 34" scale length.
I am the original owner of this Stick, serial number #2653, made in 1989. I played it for a few years and then it sat in the case for many more years. I don't play it any longer and want to send it on to someone who can get some use from it.
The Good:
The neck is straight, the action is reasonably low (this early model has no truss rod), and the frets have very little wear. Playability is good. Strings are new.
The Bad:
I experimented with different tunings and, in the process, expanded some of the string slots in the tail to accommodate larger strings (see photo). But the slots still hold strings for the classic tuning. Volume knob covers are missing. Two of the screws for attaching the belt clip to the instrument are missing, and the third screw is broken off in the instrument . The foam in the hardshell case is flaking. Because of these deficiencies, I'm selling it "as is" at a low price.
Includes hardshell case, stereo cable, manual, "Free Hands" instructional book (cover is damaged, but pages are intact).
