I hate to make a post just to make a minor correction, let alone two such posts sequentially, but please do remember to include the "Tube MP" part of the model name when you refer to it. That part of the model name, which is almost a prefix, is critical to navigating ART's product catalog.

Rob, i have the MicroCube Bass RX. it is a 2.5 + 2.5 stereo amp w 4-4" speakers. you put the chorus on and sound leaves the enclosure. it's a spatial thing. my buddy had a Jazz Chorus and i couldn't wait to play my bass thru it. Joni Mitchell was sent one from Roland and Jaco stole it from her - said "It's mine". and rolled it to his side of the stage. some times you have to forego specifications and logic and listen

Rob, I see what you mean. I believe that they abbreviated it to TUBEMPSTV3

Well, after playing a while on a real stereo rig, with one amp for bass and two amps for melody side, I decided to go this way, and I'm now trying different configurations. A possibility is to find a music store to try a JC-40 for the melody side. Did any of you try/buy this amp? I'm quite curious about the stereo field, as the speakers are very close from each other, and about the power of this amp... Can you play in rehearsal or small gig without cranking it?

I was definitely intrigued by this amp. When I was running a JC-120 for my melody side, I had it set VERY low and boy oh boy was it bright. I expect you'd need to mic it if you were playing outside, but there's really only way to know for sure...

Yep big ol' bright headroom! (JC-120 that is)

The amp of choice for tropical and afro guitar. I saw the guitarist with Toumani Diabate Symmetric Orchestra playing a Gibson SG on one flat out, no effects - a blistering high end and he would just walk over to it and turn up the vol control when he took a solo. Priceless.
