Post Amps....
Stick newb but have been playing Bass and guitar for a good while.
I've been having fun experimenting with my Amps with the Stick.
At first I was worried that the Stick would just sounds like my Basses and Guitars but the attack and sustain are different enough where it has it's own thing going.

For those that use amps, what types of amps are you finding that you like the best?

My favorite amps are an 18W Marshall clone head I built with a 1-12 Closed back Redcoat Speaker and an early 60's Ampeg B15.

For more extended headroom I have a 120Watt Tube head with an EVM-12L 200 Watt speaker in a little Boogie cab and a Roland Jazz Chorus.

Then I have a few amps in the 3 to 5 watt range for color.

I take it that "Redcoat" speaker is one of Eminence's British style guitar speakers, but which one? I know Eminence's clones are typically 3dB more sensitive than the speakers which inspired them.

Yes, the Red Fang with an Alnico Magnet.
It pairs nicely with my 18w.
When I need more low end I use the EV with it

I meant to comment on your Boogie cab with the EV speaker: it is one of the original Mesa "Thiele" ported 1x12 cabs. It is worth a good bit of money, since Mesa's more recent production of that cab has used their C90 Black Shadow speaker in place of the EV. As far as I know, they did not change the cab to match the new speaker (which is essential with a vented enclosure, as referenced by the "Thiele" model name).

Yes, that EV/Boogie is a magical piece of engineering.
Makes amps instantly sound more modern.
Mine is from the early 90's.
Those EV speakers are really heavy!
