Solo, I run my Stick through a Boss RC-20XL -> Crate CA30D -> PA or Larger Amp

Band, I run the bass side of my Stick to a Digitech Bass Synth Wah -> Rocktek Phaser -> Crate CA30D -> Ampeg BA-210SP. Melody side goes to a Digitech Whammy -> Line 6 Echo Park -> Crate CA30D -> Ampeg BA-210SP.

Ok. Here it goes...
Presonus MP20 preamp> Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb> Boss SE-50 (Bass)> Boss SE-70(Melody)> BBE Dual channel EQ> BBE Sonic Maximizer> Carvin DCM 1000 Power amp.

It's Balls.

I have several options! (Which is not a bad thing.)

Option 1 ... Full Mackie front end sound system including sub. Running the melody strings & synth pickup through a line 6 floor pod plus and the bass strings through a line 6 basspodXT. Monitoring myself using in ear monitors.

Option 2 - Both sides through a SMALL 6 channel Mackie sound board using the same melody string effects unit, no bass effect unit into my Ampeg SVTPRO5 bass head and 4X10 & horn bottom.

Option 3 - No external effects units, bass into SVT rig and melody & synth into a Line6 Spider 2X12 combo guitar amp with built in effects. The best rig for sound and volume live but a lot of equipment to deal with!

Most gigs my band runs "ampless" so most times I use option 1 and at this point I seldom use the synth.

Option 4 - Both effect units into a small 3 channel Roland keyboard amp ... mostly used just for quite practice.

Just a Stick, a KC550 Keyboard Amp, and a cable to connect the two.

(I bought a Line 6 Pod X3 Live, but returned it after weeks of never using anything but the naked signal.)

If I were playing solo Stick I think I'd just use my small Mackie sound board, one Mackie SRM450 and a touch of reverb. But In my band my Stick takes the place of a bass guitar and a 2nd 6 string guitar so I need the processing.

My rig is in Flux, but I just booked my first gig of the new year on Feb 16th, so I'll have to make some decisions. About the only thing I'm sure will be in it is this:

I can't imaging playing a serious gig without it at this point.

So do I... I've purchased throughout the years a good bunch of gear : Rane Sp13, Boss VF1, Line 6 products, etc, etc...
Now I just get simpler and simpler. My rig is : a StepABout (the nicer box ever purchased and I couldn't imagine playing live without) -> Ernie Ball volume pedal -> Jacques Trinity (wah/filter, a pedal from France absolutely amazing) -> Chorus Maxon CS9 or Jacques Meistersinger -> Boss DD20 digital delay -> Keyboard amp

I've completely given up racked multi effects, tired of tweaking knobs and programming presets instead playing.
And now, the more I play, the less I use pedals. I sometimes add some pedals at some point when I need a special sound (phaser or tremolo especially) but that's not so frequent.
And I tend to have a preference for analog effects (some are expensive, but I find the sounds often higher in quality... but, no, I'm not "snob")

HELP!
I'm new to tapping, just bought a good used Stick and wonder what's the best rig for starters - I'm on a budget (who isn't). I'll only be playing solo at home for now, so I don't need much, but would like the best possible sound for my new purchase. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
And to Howard....where on Feb 16 are you playing?

You'll get 100000 different opinions but MINE is get a small Roland or similar keyboard amp with at least 2 channels. Built in reverb would be nice.
